The Wandering Lens
Welcome to the part of the website where my sense of direction is regularly questioned.
This is where you’ll find every travel journal from my adventures, whether I’m exploring Australia, meandering along Britain’s canals, wandering through European cities or pulling over because I’ve spotted “just one more photograph”. (Photographers have been saying that for years. Nobody believes us anymore.)
These aren’t polished travel guides written by someone who claims everything went perfectly. They’re the real stories. The early starts that seemed like a good idea until the alarm went off. The weather forecasts that clearly belonged to a different country. The cafés discovered purely because I needed somewhere to dry out. And the moments that made every wrong turn completely worthwhile.
There’ll be plenty of photographs, a few useful tips and, if history is anything to go by, the occasional tale of me ending up exactly where I hadn’t planned to be.
So grab a cuppa, pull up a chair and come along for the ride.
Just don’t ask me for directions.
